BUDGET
There are quite a few budget
guesthouses. Camping is the most
budget-friendly accommodation option for visiting the Faroe Islands.
Wild camping is not legal, but there are plenty of official camping
grounds scattered around, although these are often for tents only, not
campervans. See the

of camping grounds . As the weather tends to be a little more raging
torrents than soothing sunshine, you may want to seriously consider
what a camping trip here will involve.
MID-RANGE
There are a variety of hotels, hostels and charming
guest houses scattered around the islands in picturesque
villages, though with a
concentration of hotels in the capital Tórshavn.
The vast majority are located in the capital, Tórshavn. Two new 4-star hotels opened in 2020;
Hotel Brandan and Hilton Garden Inn
Faroe Islands. which has doubled bedroom capaity in the
capital. Other 4-star options in Tórshavn include Hotel
Føroyar, which is located on a hill overlooking the city,
and Hotel Hafnia, located in the city centre.
There are also 2/3-star options in the city centre,
including 62N Hotel City Centre, Hotel Tórshavn, Havgrím Seaside Hotel,
and Hotel Djurhuus.
Hotel accommodation is also found outside the capital in most parts of the country. Locations
include Runavík (Eysturoy), Vágar Airport (Vágar), Klaksvík (Borðoy), Vágur (Suðuroy), and
Tvøroyri and Vági
(Suðuroy).
